A night after scoring 17 runs, the Vallejo Admirals offense only got better as it defeated Sonoma 20-4 on the road.

Vallejo (14-7) remained tied for first in the Pacific Association standings after collecting 14 hits in the win. Vladimir Gomez and Brandon Fischer had three hits each. Nick Akins had two home runs and his eight on the year is now tied for the league lead with Kenny Meimerstorf of Sonoma.

Fischer and Chris Fornaci also hit homers in the win.

The Admirals actually trailed 3-1 in the game after three innings but then scored three runs in the fifth, six runs in the sixth, four in the seventh and five runs in the eighth as they ran away with the victory.

A few Sonoma position players such as Rob DeAngelis and Miles Williams pitched in the game.

Admirals position player dAundray Van Slyke pitched the ninth inning for the Admirals. Martin Cronin earned the win for the Admirals by pitching five innings and giving up one earned run while allowing five hits.
