Taking a giant step towards keeping media as a year around function, Vallejo Admirals Professional Baseball taps Sales Manager Chris Owens as the club’s Off-Season Media Director. As the Admirals prepare for their off-season campaigns, Owens will be taking charge of writing articles, delivering videos, and keeping the Admiral’s Newsletter in operation.

“It’s another title to add to my Admirals’ resume,” joked Owens. “Clearly being the On-Field Entertainer, Sales and Marketing Manager, Substitute BBQ specialist, and Men’s Bathroom Custodial Engineer is not enough for me. Our guests want to see what’s going on with us in the off-season and I’m excited to deliver it to them.”

Owens has a deep background in media work. He’s worked at Cumulus Media SF as a Promotions Assistant, Board Operator, Engineering Technician, and On-Air correspondent for the radio cluster. He also delivered the Benicia Herald in his youth. “If there is ever someone to do it all with enthusiasm and eloquence, it’s Chris,” remarked Admirals’ Owner Kevin Riley. “We have a lot in store this off-season in preparation for the 2019 season. Stay tuned.”

The Admirals finished the 2018 season with a 37-43 record clinching the number 3 seed in the playoffs. They went on to lose a nail biter 3-2 to the eventual 2018 Pacific Association Champion San Rafael Pacifics. In the next few weeks pay attention to the Admirals Newsletter as the Admirals begin their Season Ticket and Group Ticket Promotions.
