The Napa Silverados rallied late to edge the Vallejo Admirals 6-5 on Sunday in a tight Pacific Association game at Napa Valley College on Father’s Day.

The Admirals (10-5) led 3-0 after five innings but Napa (8-8) scored two in the sixth, three in the seventh and one in the eighth.

Admirals starting pitcher Martin Cronin pitched well again but got a no-decision as he went six innings, allowing five hits and two runs. Jalen Miller was tagged with the loss as he allowed three runs in one inning.

Delvy Mendez picked up the win and Billy Felo earned the save for Napa.

Vallejo made it close with one in the seventh on Vladimir Gomez’s RBI double to score Graylin Derke and one in the ninth on Ryan Cooper’s RBI double to score Derke. Gomez and Derke were both 2-for-3 and both are tied for second in the league in hitting at a .404 mark. Cooper was also 2-for-3 and knocked in two.

Nico Toni homered and Ray Jones knocked in three for the Silverados.

Vallejo begins a two-game series with Sonoma starting on Tuesday at Wilson Park.
