The Vallejo Admirals lost their ninth straight game on Friday, falling to the last-place Martinez Clippers, 6-4, at Joe DiMaggio Field.
Martinez had one big inning — a four-run fifth.
Edgar Herrera was 2-for-2 with a homer and three RBIs for Vallejo (31-37), which still leads Napa by four games for fourth place in the Pacific Association standings. Napa lost to San Rafael 15-4. David Kiriakos was 2-for-4.
Drue Bravo was the winning pitcher and Robert Humes notched the save for the Clippers (22-46). Amilcar Cruz was the losing pitcher.
The Admirals are in San Rafael Saturday and Sunday.
