VALLEJO, Calif. — The Vallejo Admirals came back from a 9-2 deficit for the second time in three games, beating the Napa Silverados on Friday night at Wilson Park, 18-11.

The Admirals have now won four in row and eight out of nine. They cut their deficit to Napa for third place to half a game and also returned to .500 on the year at 23-23.

Vallejo fell behind 9-2 on Wednesday in a 12-11 (10 innings) win over Salina.

On Friday, Napa built the 9-2 lead with three in the first, two in the third and four more in the fifth. Jordan Anderson hit a three-run homer in the fifth.

The Admirals came back with six in the bottom of the inning. A bases-loaded walk to Nick Akins Sr. and a broken bat, two-run single by Montrell Marshall got things going. Another bases-walk to Graylin Derke netted another run and Chris Fornaci had a two-run single to cap the inning.

Marshall put the Admirals up 10-9 with a two-run home run in the sixth. However, Willie Salas tied it up at 10-10 with a solo home run in the seventh.

Vallejo then took control with a five-run seventh inning. Marshall singled in two and Tillman Pugh doubled in two runs. Pugh put the finishing touch on the night with a three-run homer in the eighth.
