From the Vallejo Times-Herald

The Vallejo Admirals offense had plenty of offense Sunday against the Sonoma Stompers, but it came up just a little short in a 13-12 loss at Wilson Park.

Vallejo (25-21) banged out 14 hits against Sonoma, but could only score two runs in the ninth inning comeback as the Admirals were swept in the two-game series at home.

Nick Akins Sr. continued to add to his single-season Admiral home run record as he launched his 21st on Sunday. Rian Kiniry also hit a home run, his 15th of the year. Both players had three hits and four RBIs each in the top two spots in the lineup.

Cyle Figueroa had four hits, while Brandon Pugh added two hits of his own.

Marcus Bradley had four hits for the Stompers (30-16), including his first home run of the season. Daniel Comstock hit his ninth home run of the season and had two hits. Mitchell Ho had three hits for Sonoma.

Getting the win in relief for Sonoma was Cole Watts, while Jacob Cox earned the save.

Brett Schneider took the loss for Vallejo in relief.

The Admirals travel to San Rafael on Tuesday to start a two-game series with the Pacifics, who lead the Pacific Association standings by one game over Sonoma and six games over Vallejo.
