The Vallejo Admirals fell behind 6-0 and lost to the San Rafael Pacifics 7-4 on Tuesday to open a Pacific Association series at Albert Park.

Vallejo made it a 6-4 game with four in the sixth as Brandon Pugh had an RBI single, Chevy Clarke had a two-run single and Cyle Figueroa scored on a wild pitch. San Rafael added an insurance run in the eighth for the final margin of victory.

The win went to Jared Koenig (5-1), who went 5 2/3 innings, allowing eight hits and four runs, striking out 11. Jose Casilla grabbed his seventh save.

The loss went to Frank Valentino (2-5), who went six innings, allowing eight hits and six runs. He struck out seven.

Vladimir Gomez was 3-for-5 and Brandon Fischer was 2-for-2 and reached base five times for the Admirals (25-22). Clarke and Nick Akins Sr. also had two hits.

Zach Files had two hits for first-place San Rafael (32-15), which picked up a game on second-place Sonoma, which was upset by Martinez 2-0.

The Admirals and Pacifics conclude their series on Wednesday and then Vallejo heads to Pittsburg for a two-game series. Vallejo is seven games back of first place.
