VALLEJO, Calif. — Sean Johnson pitched seven shutout innings to help lead the Napa Silverados to a 4-0 victory over Vallejo at Wilson Park on Wednesday.
Jordan Garr and Josh Montelongo each hit a two-run homer as the Silverados handed the Admirals their third consecutive loss.
Garr’s home run in the second gave Johnson all the support he needed. The right-hander allowed six hits and one walk and struck out five in improving to 1-1 on the season.
Carl Brice took the loss, allowing two runs on four hits in 6 2/3 innings. He struck out 10 but walked seven and fell to 2-2.
Montelongo’s home run came in the eighth off of Harold Myles.
The Admirals go on the road on Friday at Sonoma. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05. Vallejo will be back home on Tuesday, June 25 against Sonoma at 6:35. Tickets, information and the complete 2019 schedule are online at VallejoAdmirals.com.
