VALLEJO, Calif. — Henry Omana struck out nine in six shutout innings to help lead the visiting Sonoma Stompers to a 5-0 win over the Vallejo Admirals on Sunday at Wilson Park. The loss dropped the third-place Admirals 2 ½ games behind the Pacific Association leading Stompers.

Omana was dominant from the start, striking out the side in the first inning. He allowed just four hits and no walks in picking up his second win of the year. Dakota Freese took the loss for Vallejo, allowing four runs, three earned, on six hits with six strikeouts and five walks in 6 1/3 innings.

Pedro Barrios went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Sonoma. He also scored two runs. Nick Akins Sr. had two hits for the Admirals.

Vallejo had chances early against Omana. The Admirals left two runners on in the second and the bases loaded in the third. But Omana allowed just one baserunner after that.

The Admirals homestand continues on Tuesday as they face San Rafael at Wilson Park at 6:35 p.m. The game will be broadcast on KZCT 89.5 FM in Vallejo as well as online. Tickets, information and the complete 2019 schedule are online at VallejoAdmirals.com.
