VALLEJO, Calif. — Montrell Marshall homered and drove in five runs and the Vallejo Admirals won their 10th game in their last 12, beating the Sonoma Stompers 9-7 at Wilson Park on Tuesday night.

Jesse Remington (4-3) pitched five innings for the win, allowing five runs (all earned) on seven hits with two strikeouts and two walks.

Remington was touched for four runs in the first inning, then settled down. Brent Gillespie doubled in two runs in the first for Sonoma and Miles Williams followed with a two-run home run.

The Admirals rallied for five in the bottom of the third to take the lead. O’Koyea Dickson singled in two runs and Marshall hit a three-run homer. Marshall now has six home runs and 18 RBI in his last 11 games.

Rayson Romero homered in the fifth to tie the score. But Vallejo came back with two in the bottom of the inning to take the lead for good. An error by right fielder Williams allowed one run to score and Marshall drove in another on a ground out.

Marshall singled in a run during a two-run seventh for his fifth RBI.

Konner Arnold (5-5) took the loss for Sonoma, going five innings and allowing seven runs (three earned) on six hits with four strikeouts and two walks.
