SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — The Vallejo Admirals went extra innings for the second consecutive night, downing the San Rafael Pacifics by a score of 12-10. The win was the seventh in eight games for Vallejo.

Vallejo scored six in the top of the 10th inning, the big blow a grand slam home run by Chris Fornaci. That made the score 12-6.

But nothing was coming easy on this night, as the teams had battled back and forth the entire game. Corey Demptster hit a three-run double to cut the lead to two. Alex Leach was able to finish it off, striking out Ermindo Escobar to end it.

The Admirals took a 1-0 lead in the second when Chevy Clarke singled in Graylin Derke. The Pacifics went up 2-1 in the third on a solo home run by Jimmy Lunardelli and aan RBI-single by Demptster.

Clarke’s two-run homer in the fourth put Vallejo back on top. But San Rafael got three in the bottom of the inning, two on a double by Raul Navarro and the other on a single by Yeiler Peguero.

Nick Akins Sr. blasted a three-run home run in the seventh to again give the Admirals he advantage. Escobar answered with a solo shot in the bottom of the inning to tie it at 6-6.
