VALLEJO, Calif. — Skylar Janisse threw a five-hit shutout as the Vallejo Admirals won their 11th game in their last 13, beating the San Rafael Pacifics 6-0 on Wednesday night at Wilson Park.

Janisse 2-1 hurled the first complete game of the season for Vallejo. He struck out eight and didn’t walk a batter. It was his first professional shutout. Vallejo now has three team shutouts on the season.

The Admirals jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first when Tillman Pugh hit a bases-loaded double. Valdimir Gomez knocked in a run in the second on a ground out. Matt Eureste singled in a run in the third and Montrell Marshall tripled in a run in the fourth.

But the story was Janisse. He retired the first seven hitters he faced before Jimmy Lunardelli singled in the third. Markus Montelongo had two hits for San Rafael. The top four hitters in the Pacifics lineup went 0-for-16 with four strikeouts.

Marshall went 2-for-3 with a walk and scored three runs for Vallejo. Gomez and Eureste also had two hits for the Admirals.

The Admirals embark on a three-game road trip starting on Friday at Napa (5:05 p.m.). Vallejo returns to Wilson Park on Sunday for a 1:05 p.m. game against Sonoma. For more information, go to vallejoadmirals.com or call 707-641-1111.
