VALLEJO, Calif. — Montrell Marshall, Zach Files and Nick Akins Sr. all homered as the Vallejo Admirals won their season-high third game in a row on Wednesday as they downed the Napa Silverados 12-7 at Wilson Park.

Jesse Remington (3-3) got the win for Vallejo, going 5 2/3 innings, allowing three runs (all earned) on eight hits with four strikeouts and three walks.

Napa took an early 3-0 lead. In the first, Josh Montelongo hit his 12th home run on the year, a solo shot to left. Jordan Garr singled in a run in the third and Remington later walked Jake Marshall with the bases loaded to force in a run.

The Admirals were held without a hit for four innings by Sean Johnson (2-5). Vallejo scored a run in the fourth on an Akins ground out.

In the fifth, Marshall hit his first home run for Vallejo, a one-out solo blast to center. Wilkyns Jimenez then singled, and Files followed with a two-run homer to right to put the Admirals on top.

Akins homered leading off the sixth, his 10th of the year. Marshall later singled in a run in the inning to make it 6-3. Three more runs in the seventh apparently put the game away. However, the Silverados rallied for four in the eighth. Nick Ultsch (St. Mary’s High School-Albany) homered leading off the inning. Nicco Toni singled in two runs.

The Admirals came back for three in the eighth. Valdimir Gomez had the key hit, a two-run single.

The Admirals conclude their five-game homestand on Thursday against San Rafael. First pitch is 6:35 p.m. For more information, go to vallejoadmirals.com or call 707-641-1111.
