NAPA, Calif. — Jordan Anderson’s two-run single in the bottom of the eighth capped a comeback for Napa, lifting the Silverados to a 10-9 win over the Vallejo Admirals on Sunday afternoon at Napa Vallejo College.

The loss ended a five-game winning streak for Vallejo.

The Admirals had leads of 6-1 and 9-4 in the game. San Francisco-native O’Koyea Dickson hit a home run for the second time in two days since signing with Vallejo, a two-run shot in the first to help the Admirals take a 3-0 lead. He later singled in a run and hit a sacrifice fly, for a four-RBI day.

Graylin Derke also homered the second consecutive game, hitting a solo shot in the second. Vladimir Gomez had a three-hit day and Wilkyns Jimenez had two hits for Vallejo.

The Admirals scored three in the top of the seventh to take a 9-4 lead. In the bottom of the inning, the Silverados scored four runs to get back in the game. Josh Montelongo hit a two-run home run to get the rally going. Richmond-native Nick Ultsch later hit a pinch-hit, two-run triple.

In the eighth, Napa loaded the bases against Benicia-native Peter Reyes, when Anderson delivered on a base hit to left. Kyle Chavez came on for the save for the Silverados, who moved back into third place with the win.

The Admirals return to Wilson Park on Tuesday for a 6:35 p.m. game with Sonoma. The team will honor the Mare Island Fillies, a World War II-era softball team. The Admirals will wear replica jerseys, which will be auctioned off with proceeds going to Vallejo PAL softball. For more information, go to vallejoadmirals.com or call 707-641-1111.
