From the Vallejo Times-Herald

After trailing by eight runs early in its contest against the Martinez Clippers, the Vallejo Admirals showed off their offensive power in the late innings for a comeback.

Unfortunately, they may have used all the power in the ballpark.

Shortly after Cyle Figueroa doubled home two runs to give the Admirals a 13-11 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, the power went out at Wilson Park, causing the game to be delayed. After a few minutes the game was suspended and will be finished at a later date with the Admirals up 13-11 in bottom half of the eighth. According to the Vallejo Admirals Twitter page, the game most likely will be resumed on Thursday before the previously scheduled game against the Clippers.

The Admirals trailed 9-1 in just the bottom of the second, but wouldn’t go away. The scored in six of the eight innings, including six runs in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game 10-10. Trailing 10-4, Nick Akins Sr. hit a three-run homer to cut the lead in half. An RBI double by Brandon Fischer and an RBI single by Figueroa cut the lead to 10-9 and then Rian Kiniry tied the score on an RBI single.

Martinez took the lead back in the top of the eighth, but Vladimir Gomez tied it back up with an RBI single. Moments later Figueroa drove home two more runs before the power was lost at the ballpark.

Figueroa and Fischer each have three hits in the game, while Kiniry and David Kiriakos each have two hits.
