VALLEJO, Calif. — Dominic Bethancourt’s ground out in the 12th inning drove in Nicco Toni with an unearned run to lift the Napa Silverados to a 6-5 win over Vallejo at Wilson Park on Wednesday in the opening game of the Pacific Association playoffs.

The Silverados travel to San Rafael on Thursday to face the Pacifics in the next round. The winner of that game will open a best-of-three series with regular season champion Sonoma on Friday.

Adam Cox got the win for Napa and Rob Humes got the save. Cam Hatch took the loss for Vallejo.

Napa took a 5-0 lead in the early innings before the Admirals battled back to tie the score in the fifth. Both bullpens were outstanding as the score remained 5-5 until Toni scored.

Bethancourt drove in four on the night, hitting a two-run home run in the second off of Mike Melendez to help the Silverados build the lead. Dakota Conners, Josh Montelongo and Nick Ultsch each had two hits for Napa.

Nick Akins Sr. and Chris Fornaci singled in runs for the Admirals during their comeback.

Vallejo had several opportunities to win the game, leaving two men on in the seventh and eighth innings. In the bottom of the 12th, Humes walked Montrell Marshall leading off and balked him to second. Vladimir Gomez then grounded out to move Marshall to third. But he was stranded there as Chevy Clarke struck out and Ryan Cooper grounded out to end the game.
