The Vallejo Admirals’ offense was stagnant again on Thursday as they fell to the host Pittsburg Diamonds 5-0 in the third and final Pacific Association series at City Park.

Pittsburg (13-14) won two of three to claim the series.

Vallejo got a strong pitching performance from David Dinelli, who went six innings, allowing seven hits and three runs but Diamonds starter Ricky Schafer was better. He went eight innings, allowing four hits while fanning six and walking no one.

Tim Williams was the only player on the Admirals (11-16) with two hits.

Pittsburg center fielder Trent Oeltjen was 3-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBIs. Ex-Admiral Brandon Williams had two hits.

Pittsburg scored all three runs against Dinelli in the third. Thomas Shull had a sacrifice fly to knock in Williams, Oeltjen singled in David Kiriokos and Mike Taylor singled in Oeltjen.

The Admirals announced that shortstop Raul Navarro will be going to the Summerset Patriots of the Atlantic League. Navarro hit .326 (fifth in the league) in 24 games.

The Admirals and Diamonds will play in a three-game series at Wilson Park starting on Friday.
